The committee will hear testimony from local government representatives and regional economic development officials on the issue of state-local distribution of tax revenue raised by future mining operations. The committee will also hear testimony from Tim Sullivan, chairman of the Wisconsin Mining Association, on a recent study the Mining Association commissioned that reviews the policies and regulatory frameworks applied by states that have been successful in attracting the mining industry.
