Despite that fact that Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan knew for certain that voter party affiliations had been changed prior to the Arizona primary on March 22, the vote is scheduled to be certified around 3 PM today. According to truthdig.com:
Asked to explain the multiple incidents of “anecdotal evidence” of voter suppression, Reagan stated that her office has been “working extensively” on the problem and said that even one of her own employees had experienced a problem.
If the results of the election are certified without full investigation and remediation, a grassroots team of election integrity activists, AUDIT AZ (Americans United for Democracy, Integrity and Transparency in Elections) are prepared to contest the election in court:
Should an investigation reveal problems significant enough to have affected the outcome of the election, we will seek a re-vote in June as remedy.
AUDIT AZ has reached its fundraiser goal and are prepared to take action. But their page provides a detailed description of the situation voters are facing in Arizona. EI analyst Richard Charnin has published the election results here.
Election integrity activists are calling for concerned voters to call Arizona Secretary of State Michele Reagan now and tell her, “Verify, THEN Certify” before the certification takes place.
Call 602-542-0681 or 602-542-8683 and please be respectful.
EI advocates are gathering between 1 and 2 pm in the parking lot at the Secretary of State’s office, 1700 W Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85007 to protest or celebrate, depending on the announcement.
I’m trying to call. I’ve been on hold for 50 minutes so far.
Did you ever get to talk to them?
