Tonight on the eve of five primary elections, many Bernie Sanders Facebook pages are being systematically attacked and likely closed down by operatives working on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Rhode Island are all scheduled for crucial primary elections tomorrow. Sanders has been polling ahead of Clinton in Rhode Island, and gaining quickly in the other states.
Bernie Sanders is My Hero, a page with over 120,000 members was one of the first to go. Bernie Sanders for President 2016, which had 118,000 members was also shut down, as well as smaller groups like Bernie Believers, Bernie Activists, Bernie Sanders or Bust, Bernie Sanders Discussion Group and Bernie Sanders 2016 – Ideas Welcome.
Mike Canada of Niagara Falls, New York was advising members to click the “Report a problem” button on Facebook to complain about the attack on the groups. “What happened tonight is definitely against Facebook’s Terms of Service.”
Tracey Sperko, administrator of Bernie Sanders is my Hero, is advising supporters to move over to Reddit, and Twitter, where #berniefacebookpurge is being used to discuss the issue.
Sanders’ Facebook pages are more than just a place for Bernie supporters to gather. News is shared and work is organized through the pages, so those pages going dark means campaign work grinds to a halt.
Two hours after the cyber attacks some of the groups were beginning to come back on line.
Today the New York Daily News reported that David Brock, long-time Clinton operative and head of multiple Hillary Clinton Super Pacs, has launched what has been dubbed Barrier Breakers, an online mob of paid trolls designed to attack any negative comments regarding Hillary Clinton on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, or elsewhere. True to his word, tonight many of Sanders’ Facebook pages are being systematically shut down.
The outline of the plan is found in another Brock-controlled Clinton Super Pac, Correct the Record, which pledges to spend $1 million to defeat the army of Sanders supporters who work together in the Facebook Bernie rooms, on Reddit, and through other social media sights. Brock built his reputation on smearing the reputation of Anita Hill during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice. He later recanted the accusations against her and began a career working with the Clintons as a “recovering conservative.”
Sanders supporters are encouraging each other to go directly to his website in order to help phone bank ahead of the primaries tomorrow.

What proof that the likely operatives are from HRC campaign – this falls within and exactly how Karl Rove would operate to make is appear it is her campaign… don’t call yourself news, then speculate without a single fact or proof.

Not sure what more you want? It does not matter if Correct the Record perpetrated these particular attacks. Casey Champagne did and screen shots were taken. CtR was designed to do exactly what Casey did and admitted it.

Unbelievable, is there any statement from facebook about what happened? Its clearly a violation to their terms. Its a cyber crime act.
