Water Protectors send message to Enbridge during Indigenous contractor recruitment drive in Duluth

November 16, 2022

On November 15, Enbridge held a meet and greet at Pier B in the Duluth harbor to recruit more Native contractors to work on the proposed Enbridge’s Line 5 reroute through the Bad River watershed.

Enbridge has recently been found guilty of criminal trespass and unjust enrichment in a lawsuit with the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.

They also settled for $11 million in Minnesota for their crimes against the environment they inflicted during the building of Line 3.

The foreign multinational corporation and their guests were greeted by conspicuous messages from communities united by the water: There will be no pipeline. End of story.
