Jauch & Schultz Slam Compromise Mining Bill

Sens. Bob Jauch and Dale Schultz  spoke out in strong opposition to the GOP compromise mining bill at a press conference on Monday held prior to the Joint Finance Committee meeting.

Schultz: “I would say that the compromise that they just offered is no compromise at all; In fact, it makes a bad idea worse.”

Jauch: “There are significant environmental problems remaining with their legislation. They either don’t understand that they’re weakening standards, or there is a deliberate attempt to mislead you about the items that are not included in their proposal…”
