Circled counties indicate where ballots are hand-counted in Wisconsin

This list includes all the Wisconsin counties and known municipalities that employ a voting system of hand-counted paper ballot and HAVA-accessible touchscreen voting machines. All the following counties use AVC EDGE touchscreens, except for Ashland and Bayfield, which use ES&S AutoMark, and Calumet, which uses the Premier AccuVote TSX. The ES&S Automark uses a touchscreen and/or audio interface to allow disabled voters to print out their ballot on a piece of paper which is then counted by an optical scan machine, or in some cases, by hand. The Premier AccuVote TSX is a touchscreen machine with one of the worst reputations of all.

Unless otherwise noted, this information has been confirmed by county and/or municipal clerks as accurate for the June 5, 2012 election. If you plan to visit a location that is not confirmed, please call the county or municipal clerk to get the information you need.

The number following each county name (below) is the number of registered voters in the municipalities that allow hand-counted paper ballots, based on the WI GAB stats from 2010.
