While in Chicago covering the NATO protests I noticed a familiar face, who I have since learned is “Rebel Pundit” a blogger for breitbart.com, in a heated exchange talking with several nurses.
I recognized him from a few events he had covered in Madison. There it seemed that his style was to get people he disagreed with angry and flustered, so they would say something rude on camera.
I got a chance to talk with him for a little while and after I explained what ALEC does and who they are Rebel said, “The people obviously should try to un-elect those people.” Both Scott Fitzgerald and Scott Walker have been active ALEC legislators, and Fitzgerald was actually the state co-chair of ALEC until last year.
Then we go on to talk about the financial transaction tax a bit.
